In July 2010, Seminole's 2009 annual report received a Bronze award in the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) 2009 Vision
Awards competition (electric utilities, annual revenue $1+ billion). This is the 9th consecutive year that Seminole reports have placed in this
international financial report competition, which drew a total of more than 4000 entrants worldwide this year. Seminole's previous recognition includes a

In March 2008, Seminole's Putnam County 8th grade energy education program received an Honorable Mention, Energy Education Award from the American
Coal Council. The ACC's Excellence in Education awards recognize North American companies, foundations, associations, and individuals across the coal
industry that are improving their local communities, providing energy-focused education, and getting out essential information on coal and the energy
industry.
