Seminole Electric Cooperative Inc. Selects TIC – The Industrial Company to Build New Natural Gas Plant

TAMPA, Fla. (April 18, 2018) — Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc. today announced that TIC – The Industrial Company has been selected as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for a new 1,050-megawatt natural gas plant in Palatka, Florida. The power facility is part of Seminole’s long-term strategy to meet the future needs of electric cooperatives throughout Florida.

TIC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, one of North America’s largest construction and engineering organizations, which has contributed to more than 600 power-related projects over the past 10 years.
